This is what we were working with! It's such a small laundry with a serious space issue, which is why I decided it needed a quick and simple DIY makeover!
Wooden board over washing machine: Bunnings Warehouse (we bought a length of pine timber and got it cut for free at the chop shop, which allowed us leftover wood to make a shelf. I then covered it in a walnut coloured wood stain and a waterproof sealant.)
Bamboo grid board over sink: Kmart (we removed some of the panels underneath so it could sit flush against our sink without falling in).
